Website Copy
We will need everything that will be seen on the web site. This includes body text, photos, logos, price lists (if applicable), terms and conditions statements, refund policies, privacy statements and a breakdown of your products. If your web site is required to compliment existing stationery and brochures, we will need copies of these, digital if possible. If you have a style guide, we'll need a copy to ensure that the right fonts, colors and logo placement are used.
Layouts and revisions:
Once we have defined the objectives and outlined a strategy creative concepts are developed which bring the strategy to life. About a week after we have completed the consultation we will send you two proposed design concepts/layouts. These layouts will be mock-ups of your homepage, created in Photoshop and sent to you via e-mail as jpegs. When you have had a chance to review them you can send an e-mail indicating which layout you prefer. Include changes you want made in a numbered list. When we complete the first round of revisions we will send you the revised layout. You will have another opportunity to review and submit another round of revisions if needed. After you are satisfied with the design you will be requested to sign-off on the design. This act constitutes acceptance of the design. Any further design work after this point will be charged $110.00/hour for basic designing and $145.00/hour for advanced design work.
Implementation
Once we have the layout sign-off and all content needed for the website, we can go ahead and begin the implementation stage. Page designs are implemented following previously developed style guides and templates, and in accordance with the information architecture . Essentially, the implementation process involves slicing the layout up and putting it together with html. This marks the creation of the actual website or in the case of e-commerce websites, the web store. This process typically takes 4-5 business days. You will be notified when we have completed the implementation.
Implementation Tweaks
Once you have carefully reviewed the site you have one round of implementation tweaks. You will e-mail a numbered list of any design/implementation mistakes that you find and send them in one email so we can review. Implementation tweaks are things like: a hyperlink not linked up or linked incorrectly, misspelled words. They do not include making changes to the design that was signed-off, changing the functionality of the software, or directly editing pre-built RMG Media pages such as the checkout process (unless it can be edited using RMG Media's General or Catalog Design Tool). Once we have completed your implementation tweaks we will ask you to review your site one last time to make sure that we completed your requested tweaks. After that, we will activate
the site and you will be live.
