What’s the web site design process ?

I. BUSINESS RULES
    The first thing we're going to do is set up your business rules and general settings. Concretizing your business rules and settings allows your web store to operate according to a specific business model. Business rules include the following:

*Local tax rates . Are you going to charge taxes to all customers or just to those in your state? Whichever you chose taxes will be automatically added to every purchase.

*Shipping. Which carriers are you going to use? FedEx, UPS, USPS or DHL? Are the shipping charges going to be set? $25.00 for 2-day ground. Or are they going to be automatically charged based upon zip code?

*Automated e-mail confirmations. Let your customers know their orders have been received and are being processed automatically.

*Payment methods. How do you want your customers to pay you? Credit cards? Which ones? PayPal? Electronic check? Do you offer a lay-away plan?

II. PRODUCT MERCHANDISING

        Next we will set up your product merchandising. We will quickly add the first 50 products to your web store inventory.

*Product categories. We will create product categories and sub categories. Then we will insert the products and their attributes.

*Insertion of Vendor Information. We will insert all vendor or manufacturer information with the appropriate products.

*Insertion of product descriptions. We will insert short and long product descriptions.

*Insertion of shipping weights. We will apply product specific weights and rules to shipping costs.
